Tentacles swing at spirits, <font color='#669900'>Vessels</font>, and victims of Illaoi's Harsh lesson. Tentacles deal physical damage to enemies hit, and will heal Illaoi if they damage a champion.

Illaoi's E is her most critical ability; aim carefully and avoid hitting minions. Position your tentacles strategically to control the lane and team fights. Before level 6, move away from tentacles if hit by E; after level 6, maintain a safe distance to avoid her ultimate.

Tip

Poppy is a bad matchup as her (W) can block [W], not to mention that Illaoi position themselves near terrain with [P] which also allows her to be propped up for a stun with (E). We recommend pulling and farming lane early-game as Poppy has the upper hand, and wait until Illaoi has the proper items to turn the tables around. Remember to use [W] only when either (W) is on cooldown or close by, making it difficult to react at all.
