This guide is based on Rainbow Flavor's “Tryndamere, the Man of Infinity, Whose Ult Never Ends.” The setup uses
Infinite Recursion to obtain Ability Haste, then combines it with
Ult Bot and
Purist - Caster to drastically reduce
Tryndamere's ultimate cooldown.
This is not a strategy that simply extends the ultimate's duration indefinitely. The key is reducing the time until
Tryndamere R - Undying Rage is ready again, allowing you to repeatedly enter the invulnerable state. Having these Augments does not guarantee permanent survival in every situation.
## The Essentials First
• Core Augments: Infinite Repeat + Ultimate Bot + Purist - Mage
• Scaling plan: Strengthen your ultimate cycle through takedown participation and attack speed conversion
• Warning: When Ultimate Bot is selected, Ability Haste does not apply to basic abilities
• Role: Absorb enemy attacks and create time for your allies to deal damage
• Engage conditions: Whether R is ready, its actual cooldown, and whether allies can follow up
• Failure conditions: Reckless engages before the build is complete, isolation, and crowd control that prevents movement or attacks
• Evaluate items separately for closing ultimate downtime and securing actual damage
## Augment Build
```opgg lol AugmentBuild
schemaVersion: 1
core: [1388,2118,2018]
alternatives: []
synergy: []
```
The three Augments each handle one role: obtaining Haste, focusing it on the ultimate, and converting attack speed. Augments that were not verified in the original were not added as equivalent substitutes.
### Infinite Repeat: Takedown Participation Feeds Your Ultimate Cycle
Infinite Recursion provides 60 Ability Haste based on the values shown in the original video, plus 3 additional Ability Haste for each takedown participation.
So rather than diving deep alone to hunt for kills, it is safer to fight alongside your allies and build up takedown participation. The Haste gained from takedowns links with Ultimate Bot, reducing the ultimate downtime before the next fight.
Until your ultimate comes back quickly enough, you still need to calculate your survival window like a standard Tryndamere. Do not mistake a scaling Augment for a fully realized immortality effect.
### Ultimate Bot: Focus Haste on Your Ultimate
Ult Bot provides 100 Ability Haste based on the values shown in the original video. In exchange for applying Ability Haste only to your ultimate, its effect is increased by 50%.
This is not an Augment that automatically casts random ultimates. In this build, its purpose is to reduce the time until you can use Undying Rage again.
However, Q, W, and E do not benefit from Ability Haste. Just because R comes back quickly does not mean you can keep using Spinning Slash nonstop.
### Purist - Mage: Convert Attack Speed into Haste
Purist - Caster grants percentage-based cooldown reduction based on the values shown in the original video and converts all attack speed into Ability Haste.
Despite its name, this is not an Augment that provides Ability Power. In this build, attack speed is not a stat for making basic attacks faster—it becomes a resource for cycling your ultimate.
Do not calculate this as gaining the full value of both attack speed and Ability Haste at the same time. After the conversion, Tryndamere may feel different from the usual basic-attack-focused version.
### If You Are Missing One
• Without Infinite Repeat, you cannot expect your Haste to scale through takedown participation.
• Without Ultimate Bot, the structure that concentrates and amplifies Haste on your ultimate changes.
• Without Purist - Mage, attack speed items cannot be counted as sources of ultimate Haste.
Having similar Haste values does not guarantee the same cycle as the original. Check the actual R cooldown in your current setup first.
## Item Build: Add Damage After Securing the Cycle
The following is a practical supplement tailored to the Augment setup, not a confirmed purchase order from the original gameplay. After securing all three Augments, use Phantom Dancer to obtain attack speed for conversion, then, once ultimate downtime has been reduced enough, use Infinity Edge to increase the value of each attack.

### Phantom Dancer: Attack Speed for Conversion and Accessibility
Phantom Dancer is an option to consider when making use of attack speed conversion. Its movement-related stats also help you stick to enemies or return to your allies.
However, without Purist - Mage, it does not serve the same role. Do not blindly stack attack speed items just because you expect to complete the build.
### Infinity Edge: Turn Time Spent Alive into Damage
Infinity Edge is an option for supplementing the damage of critical strike-based attacks. If your ultimate cycle is stable but you still cannot finish enemies, look at your actual damage rather than simply acquiring more Haste.
Surviving for a long time and killing enemies are separate things. Since attack speed is converted, the value of each individual attack matters too.
### Blade of the Ruined King: When You Can Keep Hitting High-Health Targets
Blade of The Ruined King is worth considering when you can continuously basic-attack high-health enemies. It does not solve situations where you cannot reach them or where crowd control prevents you from attacking at all.
Any additional attack speed should also be treated as something that will be converted when used with Purist - Mage. Do not calculate it as simultaneously providing basic attack speed and ultimate Haste.
### Purchase Priority
1. Check whether there is any downtime between R's actual cooldown and the end of your invulnerable state.
2. If downtime is the problem, examine which stats in your current setup convert into Haste.
3. Once the cycle is stable, add tools that address attack damage, critical strikes, and the enemy's health.
4. If you cannot stay on enemies or keep getting isolated, fix your engage positioning before your item build.
Starting items and boots were not locked in because they could not be confirmed from the original.
## Ability Usage
### R: The Key Is Checking Its Cooldown, Not Maintaining It Automatically
Fight while directly checking whether
Tryndamere R - Undying Rage is ready and whether your invulnerable state is active. Do not rely only on the low cooldown shown on-screen while skipping your inputs and status checks.
Invulnerability is not the same as immunity that nullifies all damage. If the effect ends while your health is low, even minor follow-up damage can be dangerous.
### E: Decide Your Exit Route Before Going In
Tryndamere E - Spinning Slash handles both engaging and disengaging. Be especially careful that Ultimate Bot prevents Ability Haste from applying to your basic abilities.
If you use E for the initial engage, think about where you will survive until the next E comes back. Even if R is ready, do not keep chasing in a direction that takes you away from your allies.
### W: Create Time for Your Allies to Attack
Use
Tryndamere W - Mocking Shout to disrupt opponents and keep the fight going. Using it from a position where your allies can attack is more likely to translate into team damage than chasing the enemy backline alone.
### Q: Save It for When You Need the Heal
Tryndamere Q - Bloodlust helps restore lost health. Rather than using it repeatedly for no reason, consider situations where healing is needed, such as during ultimate downtime or immediately after disengaging.
This section explains ability usage. Level-by-level skill investment was not filled in because it could not be verified from the original.
## Game Plan by Stage
### Before the Build Is Complete: Respect Normal Survival Limits
Do not start fighting like the original just because you have Ultimate Bot or Purist. Engage based on R's actual cooldown, and maintain enough distance to escape before your invulnerable state ends.
Build Infinite Repeat's takedown participation alongside your allies. If you dive in alone and die first, you are likely to lose out on both scaling and teamfight contribution.
### After the Build Is Complete: Turn Enemy Attention into Opportunities for Your Allies
Hold the frontline within your allies' attack range. Draw enemy attacks and key abilities onto Tryndamere, but do not make simply surviving alone your objective.
Check whether your allies are attacking and whether you can push minions and structures. Holding enemies in place for a long time is not a good fight if your team gains nothing from it.
### When You Still Need to Retreat Even If Your Ultimate Is Ready
• Your allies have all died, leaving you alone.
• Enemy movement disruption keeps preventing you from attacking or engaging.
• There is downtime before the next R and you cannot recover your health.
• Chasing enemies has separated you from your allies and eliminated your escape route.
Even while invulnerable, movement and attacks are not guaranteed. Distinguish between the ability to survive and the ability to win a fight.
## Common Mistakes
• Misunderstanding Ultimate Bot as an Augment that automatically casts random ultimates.
• Misunderstanding Purist - Mage as an Ability Power Augment.
• Double-counting attack speed as both basic attack speed and Ability Haste.
• Expecting E to come back faster through Haste even after selecting Ultimate Bot.
• Skipping the check of R's actual cooldown simply because you have all three Augments.
• Mistaking the invulnerable state for damage immunity or crowd control immunity.
• Thinking that surviving alone away from your allies counts as winning a teamfight.
• Trying to recreate the original's finished build before your own build is complete.
## One-Line Summary
Stack Haste with Infinite Repeat, connect Purist - Mage's attack speed conversion to Ultimate Bot, and turn the survival time you gain into opportunities for your allies to attack.
## Scope of Application
The Augment names and effects were compiled based on the Korean descriptions shown in the original video. The item and gameplay recommendations are supplementary suggestions, not a confirmed purchase order or verified optimal build from the original.
Because the exact percentage cooldown reduction and the order in which the effects are calculated cannot be confirmed from the original alone, no specific Haste value required for permanent invulnerability is provided. Check the tooltip for the patch you are playing and R's actual cooldown.
